Registered Slope county. Born, Union county, S. Dak., Sept. 1, 1891, of (nationality of parents not given). Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Amidon on July 21, 1918. Sent to Camp Custer, Mich. Served in 2nd Company, 1st Battalion, 160th Depot Brigade, to Aug. 17, 1918; Company D, 40th Infantry, to death. Grade: Corporal, Nov. 1, 1918.
