A recent incident has prompted a fraud alert to Veterans after a community member received a fake letter claiming he had a scheduled VA appointment and needed to pay upfront for the visit. According to the document, VA later confirmed the individual was not enrolled in VA health care, and no appointment had been scheduled. The letter and payment request were entirely fraudulent.

The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency announced today that U.S. Army Air Forces Staff Sgt. Irvin C. Ellingson, 25, of Dahlen, North Dakota, killed during World War II, was accounted for on June 17, 2025.

The North Dakota Reserve Officers Association will host its Annual Christmas Party on Dec. 9, 2025 at the Fargo Holiday Inn, featuring dinner, entertainment by the Moorhead High School Carolers, and festive fellowship. RSVP by Dec. 5 to Col. Gary Olson.
