Registered McKenzie county. Born, Erskine, Minn., Dec. 8, 1893, of (nationality of parents not given). Occupation - auto mechanic. Enlisted at Jefferson Barracks, Mo., on Aug. 16, 1917. Served in 116th Aero Squadron (637th Aero Supply Squadron), to death. Grades: Cook, Nov. 1, 1917; Private, April 2, 1918. Overseas from Dec. 10, 1917, to death.
