Biography:
Registered Burke county. Born, Sheyenne, N. Dak., April 21, 1893, of (nationality of parents not given). Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Bowbells on Sept. 18, 1917. Served in Battery C, 338th Field Artillery, to discharge. Discharged on Oct. 17, 1917, as a Private, Surgeon's Certificate of Disability. Inducted at Bowbells on March 28, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in 163rd Depot Brigade, to (date not given); Company L, 138th Infantry, to death. Overseas from May 3, 1918, to death. Engagement: Defensive Sector: Gerardmer (Alsace).
