Biography:
Not a registrant, under age. Born, Cooperstown, N. Dak., Oct. 1, 1897, of Swedish-American parents. Occupation - clerk. Enlisted at Fargo on Nov. 28, 1917. Sent to Jefferson Barracks, Mo. Served in Battery B, 1st Trench Mortar Battalion (1st Battalion, Trench Artillery), to death. Grade: Private 1st Class, Oct. 12, 1918. Overseas from March 30, 1918, to death. Engagements: Offensives: Aisne-Marne; St. Mihiel; Meuse-Argonne.
