Registered Ward county. Born, Haugenson, Norway, May 27, 1890. Citizenship, alien. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Grand Rapids, Minn., on Feb. 26, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in Company C, 352nd Infantry, to April 13, 1918; Company L, 131st Infantry, to death. Grade: Private 1st Class, Nov. 1, 1918. Overseas from May 22, 1918, to death. Engagements: Offensives: Somme; Meuse-Argonne. Defensive Sectors: Troyon and Verdun-Fromereville (Lorraine); Cantigny (Picardy).
