Served in Company C, 352nd Infantry, to April 13, 1918; Company L, 131st Infantry, to death. Grade: Private 1st Class, Nov. 1, 1918. Overseas from May 22, 1918, to death. Engagements: Offensives: Somme; Meuse-Argonne. Defensive Sectors: Troyon and Verdun-Fromereville (Lorraine); Cantigny (Picardy).
