Biography:

Charles Walter Hansen was born in LaMoure, LaMoure County, North Dakota on March 8, 1922, to George W and Lillie May Hansen. He entered the United States Army at Fort Douglas, Utah on February 6, 1943, and served in the European African Middle Eastern Theater. Private Hansen was killed in action on January 10, 1945, in Luxembourg, Germany, and he is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, LaMoure, North Dakota.
