Biography:
Registered Williams county. Born, Kimball, Minn., April 11, 1892, of American parents. Occupation - butcher. Enlisted in Company E, 1st Infantry, North Dakota National Guard, at Williston, on Aug. 2, 1917. Served in Company E, 1st Infantry, North Dakota National Guard (Company E, 164th Infantry), to Jan. 18, 1918; Company K, 26th Infantry, to discharge. Overseas from, Dec. 15, 1917, to Feb. 2, 1919. Wounded, severely, July 19, 1918. Engagements: Offensives: Aisne-Marne; St. Mihiel; Meuse-Argonne. Defensive Sectors: Ansauville (Lorraine); Cantigny (Picardy).
