Circumstances:

Missing in action from approximately 1530, 19 October 1944. While in a dive bombing run over enemy held territory, plane was apparently hit by A/A fire over Neilson Field, Luzon; plane started smoking, rolled over on its back, crashed to the ground and burned. One person bailed out; parachute opened normally and person was seen to land in enemy territory.
