Not a registrant, enlisted prior. Born, Walhalla, N. Dak., (date not given). Enlisted in 212th Battalion, Canadian Infantry, on April 7, 1916. Later transferred to the 97th Battalion, Canadian Infantry, then to Royal Canadian Regiment. Overseas from Aug. 8, 1916, to death. Wounded, at Paschendaele, Oct. 30, 1917. Engagements: Vimy; Somme; Hill 70; Paschendaele.
