Biography:

Edward Frank Buzalsky was born on January 1, 1917, in Owatonna, Steele County, Minnesota to Frank Joseph Buzalsky and Ann C Wencl. He moved to Amidon, Slope County, North Dakota. He married Eleanor (Ellie) Howard in 1941. Staff Sergeant Buzalsky was killed in action on September 7, 1944, at Henri-Chapelle, Belgium and is buried at Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery and Memorial, Plot E, Row 15, Grave 47, Henri-Chapelle, Arrondissement de Verviers, Liege, Belgium. He received the Purple Heart and Silver Star awards.
