Registered Grand Forks county. Born, Cornland, Ill., May 30, 1892, of American parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Grand Forks on June 24, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in 163rd Depot Brigade, Camp Dodge, Iowa, to July 29, 1918; 313th Sanitary Train, to death. Overseas from Aug. 17, 1918, to death.
