Served in Company C, 2nd Infantry, North Dakota National Guard (Company A, 164th Infantry), to Jan. 9, 1918; Company K, 18th Infantry, to death. Overseas from Dec. 15, 1917, to death. Engagement: Defensive Sector: Ansauville (Lorraine).
