Registered Stutsman county. Born, Ruthven, Iowa, Feb. 6, 1896, of American parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Jamestown on June 14, 1918. Sent to North Dakota Agricultural College. Served in Training Detachment, to Aug. 13, 1918; Headquarters Company, 137th Field Artillery, to death. Overseas from Oct. 6, 1918, to death.
