Biography:

Eugene S Williams was born in Fort Totten, Benson County, North Dakota on May 17, 1916, to LeRoy Stewart Williams and Elsie Prudence Welliver Williams. He entered the United States Army in Bismarck, Burleigh County, North Dakota on September 20, 1940, and served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. Staff Sergeant Williams was killed in action on May 17, 1945, in Okinawa, Japan and is buried in Plot F, Grave 816, National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii.
