Registered Grand Forks county. Born, Grand Forks, N. Dak., Feb. 13, 1893, of Norwegian parents. Occupation - clerk. Inducted at Grand Forks on July 22, 1918. Sent to Camp Custer, Mich. Served in 30th Company, 8th Battalion, 160th Depot Brigade, to Aug. 10, 1918; Headquarters Company, 40th Infantry, to death. Grade: Sergeant, Sept. 15, 1918.
