Biography:

Glen Henry Johnson was born in Hatton, Steele County, North Dakota on November 17, 1924, to Henry Julius and Emma Edwardson Johnson. He entered the United States Marine Corps in Minneapolis, Minnesota on January 19, 1944, and served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. Private First Class Johnson was killed in action on May 13, 1945, in Okinawa, Japan. He is buried in Lot 5, Row H-1, Grave 1, Norwegian Lutheran Cemetery (St. John Cemetery), Hatton, North Dakota.
