Registered LaMoure county. Born, Lakefield, Minn., Dec. 28, 1892, of (nationality of parents not given). Occupation - farmer. Inducted at LaMoure on March 28, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in Company F, 2nd Battalion, 163rd Depot Brigade, to April 20, 1918; Company L, 139th Infantry, to death. Overseas from May 3, 1918, to death. Engagements: Offensives: Meuse-Argonne. Defensive Sectors: Grange-le-Comte (Lorraine); Gerardmer (Alsace).
