Biography:

Harold Henry Burow was born in Glover (Clement), Dickey County, North Dakota on May 11, 1920, to William Frederick Burow and Minnie Emilie Marquardt Burow. He entered the United States Army at Fort Snelling, Minnesota on July 14, 1942, and served in the European African Middle Eastern Theater. Married on July 11, 1943, in Jefferson, Wisconsin and father to daughter Elisabeth Ann "Betty" Burrow Kelium. First Lieutenant Burow died in service on January 15, 1945, in Mortelayng, Luxembourg, Belgium. Gravesite is at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, Plot C-3, Row 0, Grave 7681.
