Biography:
Registered Morton county. Born, Mandan, D. T., June 25, 1889, of English-Canadian parents. Occupation - carpenter. Inducted at Mandan on March 29, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in Company C, 1st Battalion, 163rd Depot Brigade, to April 22, 1918; Company F, 139th Infantry, to death. Grade: Private 1st Class, Sept. 1, 1918. Overseas from May 3, 1918, to death. Engagements: Offensive: Meuse-Argonne. Defensive Sectors: Gerardmer (Alsace); Grange-le-Comte (Lorraine).
