Biography:
born Getchell, NDak 3 Nov 23; resident Barnes County, NDak; entered US Navy Mpls, Minn 10 Mar 43; died in service 4 Oct 44 Daytona Beach, Fla; remains not recovered.
In 1941 he graduated from Valley City High school.
His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irvine Bergan, his brother Corporal Ross, serving in Europe, two sisters, Beverly and Shirley survived him.
