Circumstances:
He was seriously wounded by the enemy during an attack at "Line Idaho", South Korea on March 15, 1951 and returned to duty on March 19, 1951. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy at the "Noname Line", South Korea on May 13, 1951 as a result of stepping on an enemy land mine. His remains were not recovered.
