Circumstances:

Died while in MIA status. Member of the crew on the USS Trigger, which was reported as lost/MIA while patrolling a known mined area of the East China Sea.

Biography:

Postwar Japanese records showed a Japanese aircraft detected and bombed a submarine in March of 1945, which may have been the USS Trigger.
