Biography:

John Herbert Einarson was born in Milton, Pembina County, North Dakota on February 1, 1924, to Gimur August Einarson and Kristine Elizabeth Bergmann. He entered The United States Army at Fort Snelling, Minneapolis, Minnesota on December 16, 1943, and served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater.; Private First Class Einarson was killed in action on February 4, 1945, in Luzon, Philippines. He is buried in Plot 106, SE Section at Gardar Cemetery, Gardar, Pembina County, North Dakota.
