Biography:

John Landdeck Jr, was born in Goodrich, Sheridan County, North Dakota on August 27, 1915, to John Ernest and Ida M Landdeck. He entered the United States Army in Valley City, North Dakota on February 10, 1941, and served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. Captain Landdeck was killed in action on April 14, 1945, Cebu Island, Philippine Islands and is buried in City or Lutheran Cemetery, Grafton, Worth County, Iowa.
