Biography:

Mathias "Matt" E Schwab was born in Strasburg, Emmons County, North Dakota on September 5, 1918, to Egidie L and Agatha Mitzel Schwab. He entered the United States Army on October 16, 1940, and was killed in action in the Philippines on July 20, 1945. Corporal Schwab is buried at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial, Manila, Capital District, National Capital Region, Philippines, Plot D, Row 10, Grave 106.
