Circumstances:

Died while in MIA status. Killed during a mission targeting the Abbeville-Drucat Airdome. Attacked by enemy fighters, none of the crew attempted to parachute out, electing to stay with their craft and take as many of their enemy with them as possible.

Biography:

Memorialized at Ardennes American Cemetery and Memorial. Received Purple Heart and Silver Star awards.
