The VSOs recognized this year provide exemplary service to those who have served in our nation’s armed forces, helping veterans more easily access all the benefits they have earned through their military service.

- Exceptional Outreach: Cass County Veterans Service Office, North Dakota. This office is honored for its exceptional community engagement, exemplified by its second annual Stand Down event in Fargo. Held on September 11, 2025, the event provided crucial services, including VA enrollment, benefits counseling, and housing support to 318 attendees, including 185 veterans. The event saw a 38% growth in veteran turnout compared to the previous year, with significant increases among younger veterans. The Stand Down event served as a critical lifeline, connecting 15 previously unconnected veterans with VA services and reinforcing the VSO’s role as a trusted advocate in the region.
