John R. Mills

Biography:

John Rodney (Jack) Mills was born in Hannaford, Griggs County, North Dakota on September 3, 1923, to George W. and Veda B. Mills. He entered the United States Navy in Fargo, Cass County, North Dakota on November 11, 1942, and served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He died in service on February 25, 1946, in Martinez, California and is buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Spokane, Washington, Lot 88, Grave 14, Block 106.

Marlin E. Miller

Biography:

Marlin Elwood Miller was born Lewisburg, Union County, Pennsylvania on May 2, 1924, to Myron James and Miriam Abigail Thomson Miller and became a resident of Minot, Ward County, North Dakota. He entered the United States Army at Fort Snelling, Minnesota on August 4, 1944, and served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater.  Second Lieutenant Miller was killed in action on April 28, 1945, in the Pacific Area and he is buried in Grave G, Section 84, Site 398, Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St Louis, Lemay Township, St. Louis County, Missouri.
