John G. Halligan

Biography:

Harold A. Hall

Biography:

Harold Hall was born in Delamere, North Dakota on April 8, 1914. Private Harold A. Hall joined the U.S. Army from California and was a member of the 75th Ordnance Company in the Philippines during World War II. He was captured on Corregidor Island following the American surrender on May 6, 1942, and died of malaria on July 4, 1942, at the Cabanatuan Prison Camp in Nueva Ecija Province. He was buried in a communal grave in the camp cemetery along with other deceased American POWs; however, his remains could not be associated with any remains recovered from Cabanatuan after the war.

Edward W. Hall

Biography:

Robert L. Haley

Biography:

Lt. Haley was killed in action on Negros island in the Philippines on Jan. 5, 1945, while serving as an army air force pilot. He enlisted in the service at Fargo on Nov. 4, 1942, and reported for duty on Feb. 22, 1943. The youth attended the State Teachers college at Minot for a year after his graduation from Minot high school and then enrolled at the North Dakota Agricultural college at Fargo. A member of Mu Sigma Tau fraternity, he was active in sports and campus affairs. Lt. Haley, who was born Sept. 13, 1923, at New Rockford, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Haley, Minot.

Luther E. Halden

Biography:

Luther was born near Palermo N. D. Aug. 28, 1913, and came with his family to Ree Township in 1918. He went to school in Hartland, and graduated from the high school there. He was a farmer before he entered the Army in March, 1942, and owned a quarter of land in Passport township, which his brother Grant has been farming for him since he entered the service. He is buried in Plot 66, Hartland Cemetery, Hartland, North Dakota.
