Joseph Hrin, 24, of Pottsville admitted the slaying of Pvt. Harrington in Pottsville tavern basement the night of Dec. 31. Harrington was with a group of soldiers in the tavern and was attacked by Hrin, a civilian, when he went into the basement. Corp. Clyde Dunlap of Cadiz, Ohio, was with Harrington the evening of the murder and escorted the body to New Rockford.
