Biography:

Registered Wells county. Born, Troy, N. Y., Dec. 26, 1891, of (nationality of parents not given). Occupation - farmer. Enlisted in Company H, 2nd Infantry, North Dakota National Guard, at Harvey, on July 7, 1917. Called into federal service, World War, on July 15, 1917. Served in Company H, 2nd Infantry, North Dakota National Guard (Company C, 147th Machine Gun Battalion), to May 31, 1918; Machine Gun Company, 103rd Infantry, to death. Grade: Private 1st Class, Nov. 15, 1917. Overseas from Dec. 13, 1917, to death. Engagement: Defensive Sector: Toul-Boucq (Lorraine).
