Registered Grant county. Born, Cresco, Iowa, Dec. 26, 1889, of Norwegian-American parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Carson on May 25, 1918. Sent to Camp Lewis, Wash. Served in 15th Company, 4th Battalion, 166th Depot Brigade, to June 17, 1918; Company D, 158th Infantry, to Sept. 9, 1918; Infantry Replacement Draft, to (date not given); Company B, 128th Infantry, to death. Overseas from Aug. 11, 1918, to death. Engagement: Offensive: Meuse-Argonne.
