Ira Lauson Walla was born in Arnegard, McKenzie County, North Dakota on April 15, 1924, to Ira L and Anna M Walla. He became a resident of Cass County, North Dakota and entered the United States Army in Fargo, North Dakota on April 6, 1943. Private First Class Walla served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater and was killed in action on April 28, 1945, in Okinawa, Japan and he received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He is buried in Block 3, Section C, Grave 7893, Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota.

Kenneth Ivan Wagner was born in Tuttle, Kidder County, North Dakota on June 21, 1914, to Fredrich Edward Wagner and Alice Christina Lehman. He entered AUS Indianapolis, Indiana on February 12, 1943, and served in the European African Middle Eastern Theater. Staff Sergeant Wagner was killed in action on February 3, 1945, in Germany and is buried in Plot C, Row 6, Grave 23, Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Belgium.
