Nick Zivotosky

Biography:

Nick Zivotosky was born on December 16, 1902, to Agnes (Agrefena) Zivotosky in Russia. He came to Cortland, New York in 1942, and worked at Clyde-Mallory-Pier 36.N.R. He joined the United States Merchant Marines and was killed in action on August 10, 1945, in Capetown, South Africa. Buried at Plot Number C, Cemetery Row 20, Grave 13, Tunis Permanent North Africa American Cemetery, Carthage, Tunisia, Africa. He received the World War II Victory Medal, the Merchant Marine Mariner's medal, and the Merchant Marine WWII Victory Medal.
