Marvin Myhre was the son of Martin Myhre and Dorothy Olson Myhre. He grew up in New Rockford, North Dakota, attending school there, where he was in the marching band.

Marvin later joined the Army and served with distinction in Korea. He was killed after enemy sniper fire killed the driver of a jeep in which Marvin was a passenger and the jeep turned over. Marvin was awarded the Purple Heart.

His family long mourned the passing of a dear son, brother, and uncle. Below are his obituary and his military record.
