Career Description




Positions in this class provide case management, crisis intervention and group therapeutic counseling services to individuals, families, and clients at state hospitals, institutions, clinics, group or nursing homes, human service centers, and related facilities. These services include the assessment and treatment of complex cases such as mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in social work, counseling (including addiction counseling), or a psychology-related field and two years of counseling or behavioral health experience; or a master's degree in one of the listed fields. DOCR experience may count towards the two-year experience requirement.Preference will be given to applicants that are licensed in the required disciplines listed above or have a masters in any of the listed degrees. We will consider applicants currently enrolled or are undergraduates working towards a masters in any of the above disciplines or working toward being licensed in any of the above fields.
