AN ACT to provide for a North Dakota Disaster Act, relating to the responsibility of the governor, creating a state division of disaster emergency services, and providing for coordination of activities relating to disaster prevention, preparedness, response and recovery; and to repeal chapter 37-17 of the North Dakota Century Code, relating to civil defense. 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF NORTH DAKOTA:

AN ACT to create and enact chapter 37-19.1 of the North Dakota Century Code, relating to preferences for veterans in gaining governmental employment, and providing means for enforcing those preferences; to amend and reenact section 37-15-08 of the North Dakota Century Code, relating to 
appointment of subordinate officers of the soldiers home and to repeal chapter 37-19 and section 37-01-31 of the North Dakota Century Code, relating to governmental employment preferences for veterans.

AN ACT to create and enact section 37-15-14.1 of the North Dakota Century Code, relating to charging a membership contribution at the soldiers’ home, to creation of a special fund consisting of membership contribution receipts, and stating the purposes of that fund; and to amend and reenact section 21-10-06 of the North Dakota Century Code, relating to the funds invested by the state investment board. 

AN ACT to establish an administrative committee on veterans' affairs and to provide for its powers and duties and organization thereof; to amend and reenact sections 37-01-25., 37-14-04 ; 37-14-05, 37-14-06 , 37-14-07, 37-14-08 , 37-14-09 , 37-14-10, 37-14-11, 37-14-12, 57-14-18 , 37-15-03; 37-15-07; 37-15-08; 37-15-10, 37-15-15, 37-15-16, 37-15-19, 37-15-21, and 37--18-01 of the North Dakota Century Code , relating to the veterans' aid fund, the veterans' aid commission , and the soldiers home , and the adm

AN ACT to provide for Vietnam veterans' adjusted compensation, method of payment, duties of adjutant general, exemption from taxation and execution, time limits for filing, for a penalty, and for appropriations; and to create and enact section 37-24-08 of the North Dakota Century Code, relating to deduction of adjusted compensation, and declaring an emergency.

AN ACT Amending and re-enacting Sections 37-1401, 37-1404, 37-1405, 37-1406, of the North Dakota Revised Code of 1943, creating a Veterans’ Aid Commission, specifying its powers and duties, appropriating the sum of $125,000.00 as a Veterans’ Aid Fund, and $10,000.00 for operating expenses providing for the manner of its use, and defining those entitled to aid from such fund.
