Leroy B. Stenberg

Biography:

LeRoy Bert Stenberg was born in Hamberg, Eddy County, North Dakota on September 2, 1923, to Frank W. Stenberg and Bertha Dablow. He entered the United States Marine Corps in Minneapolis, Minnesota on December 11, 1942. In the Pacific area he was in the battles: Vella La Vella, Empress of Augusta Bay, Bouganville, and Iwo Jima. He was wounded hospitalized and given a furlough in 1944. Afterwards he returned to military duty with a Co I, 3 Bat., 26 Marines, 5th Division.  He received the Silver Star.

Ernest E. Steinke

Biography:

Allen G. Stein

Biography:

Allen Herman George Stein was born in Hankinson, Richland County, North Dakota on May 14, 1926, to Edward F Stein and Emelie Augusta Westphal. He entered the United States Army at Fort Snelling, Minneapolis, Minnesota on September 22, 1944, and served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. Private First Class Stein was killed in action on June 15, 1945, in Okinawa, Japan. He is buried in Block 22, Section C, Grave 12806, Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Chester H. Steenson

Biography:

Glenn W. Steen

Biography:

Glenn William Steen was born in Edinburg, Walsh County, North Dakota on December 28, 1919, to Amund Erlandsen Odden Stene and Oline Ellefsdatter Holmyren. He entered AUS Fort Snelling, Minnesota on December 4, 1941, and served in the European African Middle Eastern Theater. Technical Sergeant Steen died in service July 13, 1945 in Glasgow, Scotland and is buried in Lot 20, Block 1 North, Trinity Cemetery, Edinburg, North Dakota.
