A BILL for an Act to amend and reenact sections 54-52.4-02, 54-52.4-04, and 54-52.4-05 of the North Dakota Century Code, relating to ND state and political subdivision employee family medical leave.

54-52.4-02. Family leave. 1. An employer shall grant an employee's request for a family leave of absence for any of the following reasons

f. To care for the employee's child, regardless of age, spouse, or parent who is a covered service member or veteran with a serious health condition.

SB 2182 TOP TEN - Add DOD Child Care Program to Definition of "Early Childhood Services" - 2023

50-11.1-02. Definitions. (Effective through June 30, 2025) As used in this chapter, unless the context or subject matter otherwise requires:

k. A child care program certified by and in good standing with the United States department of defense family child care certification program, in accordance with department of defense instruction 6060.02, child development programs.

Relating to gaming site number limits, electronic pull tab device limits, and manufacturing and distributing license fees.

Bill language:

  • NDCC 53-06.1-03 (2) (a) add:  A governing body may approve site authorization only for an alcoholic beverage establishment or a bingo hall;
  • NDCC 53-06.1-03 (7) add: An authorized site may have no more than ten electronic pull tab devices.

HOUSE ACTION:

  • Removed all language and changed to a study.

HB 1172 - LAW & POLICY - Pledge of Allegiance verbiage cannot be altered - 2023

SECTION 1. A new section to chapter 54-06 of the North Dakota Century Code is created and enacted as follows: Pledge of allegiance. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, an executive branch officer or employee may not alter the language of the pledge of allegiance. The voluntary pledge is "I pledge allegiance to the flag, of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
