William J. Fullerton

Biography:

William James Fullerton was born in Garrett, Sommerset County, Pennsylvania on October 10, 1918, to John McKinley Fullerton and Vera Grace Sipe and later became a resident in Towner County, North Dakota.  He was married to Mary Ellen Lindeman on July 24, 1939, in Berlin, Somerset, Pennsylvania.  He entered the United States Army at Fort Snelling, Minneapolis, Minnesota on July 18, 1944, and served in the European African Middle Eastern Theater.

Carl R. Fuhrman

Biography:

Staff Sergeant Carl Raymond Fuhrmann was wounded in action in France August 5 and died the same day. Carl entered the United States Army, March 27, 1942, and was stationed first at Camp Barkley, Texas, then went on maneuvers in Louisiana and California. He was home on furlough in January, 1944 then went to Trenton, New Jersey, where he was sent overseas. He was in England until D-Day, when he went into Normandy with the United States forces. He was born in Cathay September 18, 1915, where he received his schooling, with the exception of one year which he spent at Aneta.

John V. Fryslie

Biography:

John Vincent Fryslie was born on February 28, 1916, in Flasher, Morton County, North Dakota to Arthur and Alice “Lucile” Fryslie. Fryslie, who went by his middle name, Vincent, was a twin; his brother, Norman Henry Fryslie, was born on the same date but it is unclear who came into the world first. Fryslie attended high school in Buckley, Washington, where he participated on the debate team, the Future Farmers of American (F.F.A.), Student Council, and the Honor Society, an organization dedicated to students learning how to fly solo.

Biography:
